Crucial Foundation's Law in Parliament

The bill allows foreigners to establish and head foundations in Turkey, while independent courts are given the jurisdiction over dismissal of foundation executives

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has sent the 91-article Foundations Law proposal to the Parliamentary Speaker's Office, which forwarded the bill to the Justice, European Union Harmonization and Planning and Budget Commissions. Despite Parliament's intention to conclude most deliberations on all proposals before the July 1 parliamentary holidays, it seems very unlikely they will be able to finish work on the Foundations Law.
