Gebze Institute of High Technology has developed the first Turkish hybrid automobile working with hydrogen energy.
The Institute faculty member Associate Professor Ali Ata said the production of the car will begin within three months. Its preliminary budget was 100,000 euros and research continues Ata added that the vehicle will have a battery support. The four seat hybrid car will be convertble to a two-seat. It has a speed 100 km/h and is environment friendly. Its cost is calculated as 10-15 billion new Turkish liras to provide an affordable car for everyone.
