Any military operation in N.Iraq would be against Iraq 's unity'

In his 3rd visit to Turkey in 3 months, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matt Bryza still doesn't meet the expectations of Turkish officials for more concrete measures, like military action, against the PKK in northern Iraq . 'Any military operation in N.Iraq, conducted either by Turkey or the US , would be against Iraq 's unity,' he warns

The second item of Bryza's discussions in Ankara is more interesting: understanding the operation of Turkey 's Religious Directorate as an example for preventing the alienation of Muslims from society in European countries. 'We need a partner in the Muslim world,' says Bryza, adding that the US wants to cooperate with the directorate to spread 'tolerant faith' and 'scientific learning' in Islam.
