DEHAP executives face arrest for words

Ankara prosecutor Mustafa Kelkit sent eight officials of the now-defunct Democratic People's Party (DEHAP) to the Ankara 11th Criminal Court on Wednesday to answer charges as part of an investigation into a final DEHAP statement that referred to Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan as “sayın,” which is a sign of respect in Turkish -- similar to “sir” in English.
