Turkey Prepares for Frankfurt Book Fair

The publishers in Turkey will move from being passive observers to being active participators in the 57th Frankfurt Book Fair this year.

Travel agencies that are taking the publishers to the fair this year will inform them about the emphasis the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry is placing on copyright agencies, writer and publisher chambers and private publishers. Nuanstour Tourism and Travel Agency published a roadmap for participant and observer firms prior to the fair that will begin on October 19. Nuanstour Agency Manager Hakan Cetin said that the Ministry plans to advertise Turkey this year by highlighting the private publishers and added: “We also try to do our best by guiding the publishers in a perfect way and serve to advertise Turkey. We try to help them broaden their market abroad.” Cetin also said that 221 Turkish Publishers will open stands in the fair this year and about 2,500 visitors from Turkey will participate in the fair.
