110 Turkish Killed in Iraq since 2003

Kezban GULLUCE, ANKARA (JTW) At least 110 Turkish people were killed in Iraq since the beginning of the Iraqi War. Turkey did not join the war and the Turkish Parliament refused to allow US army to use Turkish territories to attack Iraq.

Despite of these, Turkey has become the second country in Iraq casualties after the United States.More than 13.000 Turkish trucks provide transportation service to the US forces in Iraq everyday. There are also hundreds of Turkish companies and businessmen in Iraq. Iraq imports electricity, water, agricultural products and industrial equipments from Turkey.
