UN report addresses headscarf issue in Turkey

The issue of the headscarf being worn in Turkish universities has been addressed in a report about Turkey by the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), an organization associated with the United Nations. The report states that there is discrimination against women in Turkey and addresses concerns over how it affects female students. The report also calls for a solution over this issue to be found within 3 years.
