Turkey getting colder

The country’s two biggest cities, Ankara and Istanbul, are under snow, with officials warning people to expect more

Rainy weather coming from the Balkans and a cold front from Siberia is gradually affecting the entire country, with snowfall seen in both Istanbul and Ankara on Friday. Reports say officials expect temperatures to drop by 6 to 8 degrees Celsius around the country.

The Meteorological Department said they expected rain and snow to dominate Istanbul over the weekend with heavy snowfall expected on Monday and Tuesday.
