Belgium Applies to Interpol to Apprehend Erdal

Turkey's pressure on the Belgian government to apprehend terrorist Fehriye Erdal, who managed to escape the day she was sentenced to a four year imprisonment for crimes committed in Belgium, have finally started to prove productive.

Following Turkey’s initiative, Belgian police applied to the Interpol General Secretariat on Wednesday in Lyon, asking that a red bulletin be issued for Erdal’s arrest, who was found guilty by the Brussels High Criminal Court.

Interpol, evaluating the application, forwarded a message to its 186 member countries on 7 March saying that the organization is looking for Erdal.
