International Labor Organization discusses undocumented workers in Turkey

Unrecorded and illegal labor makes up 52 percent of the nation's total work force in Turkey, while some sectors are comprised more than 80 percent of an illegal workforce, said speakers at a conference between the European Union and the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Ankara yesterday. The conference, which was organized between the two international organizations brought together union leaders and policy makers to discuss the problems of the secondary economy and its effects on Turkey's accession to the European Union.
