Council of State blocks Education Ministry's 'open high school' regulation

In a case filed by the Board of Higher Education (YOK), the Council of State ruled on Friday to block "open high school" regulations proposed by the Education Ministry.

Some of the regulations' articles would pave the way for those who dropped out of, or graduated from, both secondary schools or universities to be able to transfer to open vocational high schools.

In February the court froze another article of the regulation which would reportedly have eased clerical imam hatip high school graduates' entry into university.
