Turkish and Greek Cypriot leaders agree to start peace talks on Sept 3

Turkish and Greek Cypriot leaders agreed on Friday to start the comprehensive talks on September 3 to end the 44-year division of the Mediterranean island. Turkish and Greek Cypriots will hold separate and simultaneous referandums on the final settlement, the leaders said in a statement after the meeting.
