Economic Development in Turkey Astonishes EU

The Turkish economy has grown in stability since 2002. Turkey grew 7.8 percent in 2002, 5.9 percent in 2003, and 9.9 percent in 2004 and broke all records with 26.9 percent growth in three years, according to data from the Turkish Central Bank.

Growth rates over the last three years have not been seen since 1953.

The European Union (EU) praised this affirmative development in the Turkish economy.
