BERLIN - More than 20,000 Turks who have become German citizens will not be able to vote in Sunday's general election because they still have a Turkish passport, officials said Friday.
Under a German law, citizens may only carry a German passport. Holding another nation's passport automatically disqualifies a person from German citizenship and thus the right to vote.
