Turkey must recognise Cyprus, hopefully soon: EU commissioner

BRUSSELS - European enlargement commissioner Ollie Rehn reiterated on Tuesday that Turkey must recognise the government of Cyprus and he hoped it would do so soon.

"Formal recognition by Turkey will have to take place, the sooner the better," he told members of the European Parliament in Brussels.
