Istanbul has been hit by heavy rain over the last 24 hours, leaving some roads closed. Schools have been closed as a precautionary measure in some parts of the city. In Kemerburgaz, a district on the European side of the city, the emergency services had to rescue about 10 people, who had been trapped in their houses after river banks broke, reported the Anatolian New Agency
