But Talat brushes aside all possibilities of compromise if there are no positive steps towards a Cyprus solution from Greek Cypriots Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)
President Mehmet Ali Talat announced late Monday that he's open to negotiations concerning the withdrawal of Turkish forces from Northern Cyprus.
For that to happen, Talat suggested that the Greek Cypriots take positive and concrete steps towards peace on and reunification of the divided island.
