Turkish groups to unite against French 'genocide' recognition

Turkish associations in France yesterday began a new initiative to annul French legislation recognizing the Armenian claims of genocide.

At a news conference on Sunday, Paris Kemalist Thought Association head Ali Riza Tasdelen said that they had called on some 300 Turkish associations in France to come together in a joint platform.

"We will hold a meeting next Sunday, March 12 to form a committee. The committee will carry out efforts to refute allegations of Armenian genocide on the basis of historical documents," he said.
